The Department of
Labor and Employment Regional Office 6 conducted the Labor Day Job Fair with
the total of 5,697 registered
applicants.
3,983 were reported qualified by the
employers and 9.19% or 366 applicants emerged as Hired on the
Spot (HOTS).
Clerical
positions comprised 55.46% which is the
highest percentage of HOTS. These composed of Account Executives (14), Customer Service Representatives (12), Cashiers (30), Human Resource Staffs/Clerks (3), Office Clerks (2),
Office Staffs (12), Accounting Clerks/Staffs
(12), Checkers (5), Treasury Assistant (1),
Customer Assistants/Clerks (5), Marketing
Assistants/Staffs (83), Promodisers (16), Tutor (1), and Warehousemen (6).
Service
Workers and Shop and Market Sales Workers ranked 2nd with 25.68% and have placed 94 applicants. A total of 20 applicants were hired for Sales Clerks,
19 for Waiters/Waitresses position, 17 for Sales Representatives, 10 for Bus Boy, 7 for Housekeepers, 6
for Merchandisers, 4 each for Baggers
and Production Crews, 2 each for
Bartenders and Staffs, and 1 each
for Cook, Medical Representative and Sales Utility Clerk positions.
6.28% went to Technicians and Associate
Professionals positions. Marketing Officers Position placed 7 applicants, followed by IT assistants
that placed 5 applicants, Management
Trainees had 4, Human Resource
Officers had 3, Operations Officers
had 2, and Finance Officers and
Technical Staff/Assistant had placed 1
each.
5.74% of HOTS came from Laborers
and unskilled workers. These were represented by Janitors Position (10), Helpers (6), Gardeners (3) and
Kitchen Helpers (2).
Professional
skills shared 3.28% on the
HOTS. 6 were hired for Nurses
Position, 4 for Information
Technologists, and 2 for Engineers.
Skills in Driving
contributed 1.37%.
And those who
have Special
skills like those of Lay-out Artists comprised the 1.09% of HOTS.
Supervisory
skill put in only 0.27%.
