Swim Under the Rain

Have you ever experienced swimming in a white sand sea with a very clear water in the sea shore and a sparkling ocean blue water in the middle of the sea while the rain falls hard?

I have experienced it last friday afternoon, 26 April 2013, in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. It wasn't included in my day plan when a former schoolmate and now a friend approached me to have a swim after the activity.
It was an enticing idea but I declined it for I brought nothing for swimming that day. I didn't even imagined  that we could swim after. Yes, I knew that our venue is a beach resort. but I went there only for the sake of the reason why I was there. Nevertheless, I really had a great time that day when I changed my mind and went to swim.

I found happiness when I risked my comfortable plan to something I hadn't planned or even imagined. I am amazed 'til now of the two women whom I went to swim with. They have the ability to enjoy in a just very small time they had. They taught me to risk. Indeed, waiting for the perfect time will only lead you to frustrations.

All the time could be the perfect time to enjoy. Overpassing your comfort zone and ignoring what other people would might tell are few of the formulas to your happiness. Knowing you have done thing you never ever thought you could is a great confidence enhancer. Life will be indeed life if we learn how to give life to it. Each of us has the control of our only life. Never be afraid of pushing the buttons of your life's control. You'll never know what you can do out of it. Just Push!

That day trip is all about the 1st quarterJoint Meeting for Regional Statistical Coordinating Council (RSCC) and National Statistics Month (NSM) conducted by the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB). Together with ma'am Watz from DOLE RO6, I met there ma'am Mae of DBM RO6 where I did my OJT, ma'am Cherry, a new friend Lavinia (the recent two were the two I went to swim with, and whom I've met already before, back from WVSU days) and a lot of people from Western Visayas
whom NSCB believes could help continue Western Visayas in having 'High Statistical Awarenes'.

T'was really a great day. Though I went home with my undergarments wet and my head ached, the joy I feel everytime I remember it is priceless. It was funny on how the 3 of us rushed inside the comfort room very wet to change our clothes. All our companions in the 3rd batch to go home turned their heads toward us. The crew also forbidden us to go inside the comfort room for we were too wet. Our side, that's a beach resort and the shower room is out of sight, where else could we change clothes? (I later found out, when I asked the crew, the shower room is outside below. But got no chance to see it.) Anyway, we all went home safely.

These are the pictures I got of the beautiful resort. I just regret to say that I got no picture of the group in the meeting and the 3 of us swimming under the rain. But the memory of that day will forever in me...
