Right now, the Philippines is experiencing a Super Typhoon named Yolanda. And its EYE will cover almost of the Visayas Region (this is where I live). Its area of coverage is so wide that Luzon and Mindanao (the Northern and Southern Regions) will not be spared from Yolanda's storming.

Glad we do not get those eyes in our country - keep safe
The "eye" of the storm is usually the quiet center. Eveything outside of the eye can be bad.
